A previous carol concert at St Peter’s
The concert takes place on Monday, 8 December, at St Peter’s Church, the oldest church in Hampshire.
The evening will bring together local musicians and performers for a night of Christmas carols, original arrangements and festive readings.
The line up will also feature the likes of Wessex Cancer Support’s Sing for Life Choir, whose members have been affected by cancer, dance students from Castle View Academy and singer Lisa Locarno, who will be singing Christmas classics.
Now in its fifth year, the concert has become one of the charity’s biggest and most anticipated annual events.
Lorraine White, Head of Community, Events and Partnerships, said:
“Our Christmas Concert is always a highlight of the year and the perfect way to start the festive season. The money raised helps us continue to provide vital emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer across the Wessex region. We can’t wait to welcome everyone for another magical evening.”
Guests can also enjoy an exclusive VIP reception before the concert, which includes a meet and greet with the celebrity readers, Prosecco, canapes and a traditional bagpiper-led procession to the church.
Eggheads star Kevin Ashman said: “I’m honoured to be part of Wessex Cancer Support’s Christmas Carol Concert this year. It’s a wonderful evening for a truly worthy cause and I encourage everyone to come along and join in the festive fun.”
Tickets are priced at £20 for general admission and £40 for VIP access, which includes premium seating and entry to the celebrity reception. As the event regularly sells out, early booking is strongly advised. Tickets can be purchased at www.wessexcancer.org.uk/christmascarol2025
